I decided to pursue a career in healthcare to make a difference in the lives of others. I worked as an emergency department nurse for 8 years prior to getting my nurse practitioner degree.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, and reading good books. I live in Shelby, North Carolina. My husband and I have two children together, one girl and one boy.
