“I find purpose in being there for people during life’s most challenging moments and supporting them on their path to healing.”
Background
I come from a long line of nurses—my mom, an aunt, and my older sister are all in the field—so pursuing nursing felt like a natural fit. I originally thought I might use my nursing degree as a stepping stone to medical school, but I quickly realized that the nursing model aligned more closely with my values. I’ve never looked back.
I began my career as an ICU nurse, where I learned how powerful it is to be present for someone in their most vulnerable moments. That experience shaped how I approach medicine today: by building trust, making meaningful connections, and being a source of support and comfort to my patients. I genuinely love helping people and am honored to play a part in their healing journey.

Life and Hobbies
I live in Brevard, NC, with my husband and our two energetic boys, James and Finn. We’re about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! I’m a big advocate for time spent outdoors—my current passion is ultra trail running, especially 50K distances. If I’m not running, I’m likely mountain biking, hiking, lifting weights, or soaking up time with friends and family.
One of the most formative experiences of my life was biking across the country in 2012—from Charleston, SC to Santa Cruz, CA—on a self-powered adventure that lasted 81 days and 4,200 miles. Not only did I see 13 incredible states, but I also met my now-husband on that trip. It was truly the journey that led me to the life I love today.
